The appearance is great but the tie rods are very weak. Drove from DMV to Florida and not even half way through the trip my front splitter rods tore off. Didn’t hit any bumps or anything, I thought the splitter would keep up but it ended up dragging on the road so I had to rip it off of my bumper. This is my second time purchasing this item. I want to buy again but I’m afraid the same situation will happen again.
Hi, thanks for the review & we’re sorry this happened. However, as stated in the instructions we send with the splitter, you must install the splitter using the nuts, locks, and washers that we send. You only installed the splitter with the rods which is not enough to keep the splitter secured. As stated in the instructions, the splitter rods are only meant for added support. They are not meant to completely hold the splitter. You must first install the splitter with the nuts, bolts and washers that we provide. Then you may add the splitter rods if you like for added support. They are recommend but not required.
